The Hillcrest High School Equestrian team has had a very successful year

The Hillcrest High School Equestrian team has had a very successful year. Tyler Curtis competed at the Foresyte World Cup Qualifier and placed 4th in his 1m Speed Class and 12th in his 1m Championship. He placed second on the Elementary Dressage Team at Youth Champs 2024. He placed second in his Elementary Freestyle at KZN Dressage Champs with a score of 66.75%.

In October, Jonathan De Beer will be heading to China following his selection as a member of the South African Pony Club Team. Along with three other members of Team SA, Jonathan will be attending the China Pony Club International Exchange. There he will compete against riders from Pony Clubs from countries including Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.

Erin Lowe and her horse Anatolia have been selected to represent KZN as part of the KZN SANESA Equestrian team. Erin was selected to represent the A team for both Equitation and Working Hunter and the B team for Showjumping.  Congratulations, Erin and Anatolia. Gabby Lombard has also been selected to represent KwaZulu-Natal as part of the SANESA Equestrian Team and will compete in Dressage A&B and in Equitation. They will travel to Johannesburg in September to compete.
