The Eunice High School Marimba band competed against 119 other bands at the International Marimba Festival. They won a gold and a bronze medal! The band competed in the following categories:

• In the mix: Gold medal and the Best player award went to Reoné Swanepoel. Strictly classical: Bronze medal
• Prestige category: Proudly SA prestige category: Best player award – Lerato Gopane Lerato also won the best player award in “Battle of the Bands”.
• The special social media award went to Bonolo Jabari. Both bands received 98% (A++) at the Vrystaat Kunswedstryd.
