On 14 May 2026, six learners from Swellendam High School participated in the Museum Speech Competition held at the Drostdy Museum Schuur. Some of the themes included Culture and Understanding, Access and Inclusion, Museums as Agents of Change, and Youth Voice and Belonging.
The Swellies raised their voices in honour of history and culture and our three winners will continue to do so during the second round
We are proud to announce that Sindisiwe Flathela achieved third place, Adna Ahmed second place, and Petri du Toit first place. These three learners have qualified for the inter-district round, and we look forward to seeing how they perform.
