JSE-listed higher education provider STADIO has announced Etienne Stiglingh as its new Head of Campus at STADIO Waterfall in Gauteng. A seasoned business professional with experience across the financial, education, health and government regulation industries, Stiglingh brings multidisciplinary expertise to the position. He says his focus will be on promoting progress over perfection and building meaningful relationships.

“I believe that if you focus on and take care of the people, the results will take care of themselves,” he says. “My aim is to drive consistency in everything we do, and then (from an academic perspective) to expand the qualification offerings at STADIO Waterfall.”

Previous roles have included being a director and shareholder at Regarding My Life, a leading digital self-mentorship programme, strategic portfolio advisor at the South African Reserve Bank, executive head of primary care at Intercase, and CEO of Open Learning Holdings Group, among others.

“We’re pleased to welcome Etienne to the STADIO family and look forward to working with him to grow STADIO Waterfall,” says STADIO CEO Chris Vorster. “He brings direction, clarity, experience, and empathy to the role. These are all enormously valuable in supporting the STADIO mission of widening access to quality education, preparing capable and relevant citizens for the world of work, and prioritising student-centred learning, all while meeting the expectations of our stakeholders.”

Stiglingh holds a BCom in Law, Honours in Business Management and Master’s in Education (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria, as well as an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch.

“The tertiary education journey should be about lifelong learning, mentorship, and relationships,” he says. “The mission is to stay curious and create an environment that challenges and inspires, creating better happier futures for everyone.”
