Secret Scarves Update: St Teresa’s School has been knitting scarves for charity organization, 67 Blankets for Mandela Day as part of their commitment to making a positive impact to those in need on Mandela Day on 18th July. We have already knitted an impressive 190 scarves but have set ourselves an ambitious goal of reaching 300 scarves. The journey towards knitting 300 scarves has been a remarkable collaborative effort among our learners, staff, parents and extended family and friends. Countless hours have been dedicated to carefully crafting these beautiful, handmade scarves, each one symbolizing unity and compassion. This initiative, however, is not only about the number of scarves we donate but also about the spirit of togetherness and the impact we can make when we come together for a greater cause.

As Mandela Day draws closer, we are inviting members of our local community, businesses, and individuals to share our commitment to making a difference to individuals and communities in need by knitting a scarf, donating wool, or spreading the word to bring us closer to reaching our goal. Wool can be collected from our Senior Primary School Office at 14 Keyes Avenue, Rosebank and completed scarves can also be dropped off there. Let us come together as a community and embrace the values of compassion, generosity, and unity that Mandela Day symbolizes. By working together, we can create a positive change and bring warmth and comfort to those who need it the most.
