St Charles College third and final round participants received their certificates and medals last week. Veer Bhagwan, Bailey Peters, James Isaac and Daniel Morkel were placed among the top 100 juniors and seniors nationally, qualifying them to participate in the third round of the Olympiad.

Bailey Peters received a voucher for being placed first in the province among the junior participants in the second round – an incredible achievement. In the third round, James Isaac performed exceptionally well, placing among the top 20 senior participants nationally, ranking 19th overall. He also achieved 1st place in KwaZulu-Natal – a remarkable accomplishment considering James is in fourth form and was competing against fifth and sixth form students. As a result, he has been selected to attend a Mathematics Camp in December at the University of Stellenbosch.

Maths Olympiad Finalists

We are extremely proud of our top Mathematicians and wish James all the best for the camp, along with our congratulations on his outstanding performance. – Mrs Charlotte Pillay (Head of Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty) Photo credits: Saysha Baker
