Reddam House Constantia is celebrating the selection of nine students to Western Province hockey teams, recognising their dedication, resilience and hard work throughout the season. The students earned provincial selection following highly competitive trials and performances throughout the year and will represent Western Province at upcoming interprovincial tournaments against some of South Africa’s top young athletes.

The school’s hockey representatives are:

• Emma Hibbert – Western Province U18A Girls
• Cassidy Frank – Western Province U18B Girls
• Sally Gitlin – Western Province U18B Girls
• Kieran Solomon – Western Province U18B Boys
• Courtney Thomas – Western Province U16A Girls
• Tammah Luck – Western Province U16A Girls
• Salma Jacobs – Western Province U16B Girls
• Emily Hougaard – Western Province U14 South Girls
• Dhiya Ramnarayan – Western Province U14 South Girls

The U18A and U18B tournaments will take place from 29 June to 4 July in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal. The U14 regional tournament will be held in Paarl from 2 to 4 July, while the U16A and U16B tournaments take place in Hilton from 7 to 12 July.

Alex Gitlin, Executive Head of Reddam House Constantia, says the selections are a reflection of the commitment and perseverance demonstrated by the students both on and off the field.

“To earn provincial colours is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication, discipline and perseverance these students have shown throughout the season. We are incredibly proud of each of them and look forward to seeing them represent Western Province with distinction. Their selections are a testament not only to their talent, but also to the commitment they and their coaches bring to their sport and their teams.”

The selections continue Reddam House Constantia’s proud tradition of sporting excellence and highlight the school’s commitment to supporting students as they pursue opportunities at the highest levels of school hockey.
