Parel Vallei’ High School‘s Nikalau Volsteedt (Grade 12) delivered an outstanding performance at the African Track Cycling Championships held in May in Cairo, Egypt — proudly flying the flag for both her school and South Africa. Nikalau claimed gold in the Individual Pursuit (3km), breaking both the African and National records in the event — a phenomenal achievement. She also secured silver medals in the Scratch and Points races, a bronze in the Elimination race, and placed fourth in the Keirin and fifth in the Omnium.
