A huge congratulations to Matt McCraw from Milnerton High School, who was awarded 1st place for U17 Boys Beach Sprints at the Western Province end-of-season prizegiving!  Matt has had an outstanding season, especially impressive given that he only turned 16 in March and has been competing in the tough U17 category. The Beach Sprints field was incredibly close at both provincial and national level – Nationals even required video footage to determine final placings! At SA Nationals, representing Milnerton Surf Lifesaving Club, Matt placed:

• 4th in Beach Sprints
• 4th in Beach Flags
• 10th overall out of 75 athletes in the U17 male division
