Kingswood College term 3 achievers.
Tennis: On the weekend U15A and U15B Tennis girls played in a doubles fixture away against DSG. Our U15A girls quickly shook off their cobwebs and produced a marvelous performance winning the encounter by 3 matches to 1. This result bodes well for the rest of their season.
The U15B girls had a challenging fixture, but fought hard to be as competitive as possible. In the end they lost the encounter by 4 matches to 0, but they can only grow from this experience and can be proud of their typical Kingswood fighting spirit. Well done to all the girls for a great round of tennis. The doubles teams:

Water Polo The DSG junior spring festival got underway on Friday the 8th of September. On the day, Kingswood College fielded a mixed U14 and U15 team to play matched against DSG and Glenwood House. The girls played well given the combination of the age groups, losing to DSG U14 2-4 and Glenwoodhouse 3-4. On Saturday the 9th of September, with all our players available, our age groups played in their more familiar teams. Our U15 team went unbeaten on the day, winning all 5 of their matches.

Our U14s had a much tougher draw with the majority of their fixtures being against U15 teams. They showed amazing determination and have grown as a team in this early part of the season.

Dancing: Results from the South African Highland Dancing Championships and Interprovincial Challenge – Amber Isaacs.On 9 & 10 September 2023, Amber competed in the 90th South African Highland Dancing Championship in Johannesburg. On the Saturday, Amber competed in the Intermediate All Ages section for Highland where she was awarded four 5th places. It must be noted that several British dancers travelled to South Africa to compete in the Championships and Amber was the second placed South African in the section. Amber also placed 5th in the Highland Laddie Challenge.
On the Sunday, Amber competed in the Intermediate All Ages section for National where she was awarded four Silver medals. As a result, she won the Barrowman Shield as the Runner Up in the Intermediate All Ages National Section. Amber was also part of two choreography teams which placed well. In the Under 16 years Duet division, Highland Lions placed third. In the All Ages Group division, Wingardium Leviosa placed 4th. Amber was also part of the Piderit Highland Dance Studio Team which won the Red, Red Rose Bowl as the 2nd placed studio at the Championships.

Cricket Report: KC vs Victoria Park Kingswood College got off to a flying start to their 3rd term cricket season. The 1stXI and u15a teams played against Victoria Park in a T20 on Friday 15 September followed by a 50 over match on Saturday 16 September. Both teams had fantastic outings with some outstanding early season performances.
For the 1st XI Mathew Collett score an unbelievable 163 on Saturday while Brad Goss fell agonisingly short of a well deserved hundred on Friday making 99. In the u15a match David Louden stared with and wonderful 100 while Daniel Jakins bowled extremely well to pick up a 5fer. Both teams can be extremely proud of their respective performances over the weekend.
