Match Reports from this past weekend vs Hoërskool Framesby

KC 1st XI vs Hoërskool Framesby

This past weekend our KC 1st XI traveled to Hoërskool Framesby to take on their 1st XI.

Framesby won the toss and elected to field.

Kingswood went into bat on a green sticky wicket. The boys showed some serious fight on a very difficult pitch.

We manged to get 143 in the 1st innings

Our 1st innings were 143/10

We bowled extremely well on the day, hitting a great line a length with Bukho Nkwinti picking up his first 5-ver for 1st team.

We went back into bat for the 2nd innings and added and extra 49 runs when we declared.

This meant that we had set Framesby a target of 145 in 23 overs.

Again, our bowlers worked their magic and bowled extremely well.

We went on to win the match outright by 32 runs.

THE U14As CONTINUE THEIR WINNING STREAK…

The Kingswood u14A cricket team had a good win against Hoërskool Framesby on Saturday.

Kingswood won the toss and elected to bat first on Knight field. Kingswood got off to a measured start but soon found themselves 30/3 after 14 overs.

Ross Thompson (28) and James Meyer (19) batted well in a partnership of 50 runs for the 4th wicket.

Kingswood were eventually bowled out for a total of 115.

Kingswood knew they would have to bowl and field with great discipline as they set out to defend their modest total.

The Kingswood team were really good in the field. David Louden (4/12) and Luke De Villiers (3/14) were the pick of the bowlers and together with Rogan Goliath (2/20) they bowled Framesby out for 80.

Kingswood won the match by 36 runs.
