Grantleigh Schools U13 Girls’ Football Team Crowned Champions at Tiger Wheel & Tyre Festival

The Grantleigh U/13 Girls’ Football team has once again proven their talent and determination, emerging as champions at the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Festival held in Felixton on Saturday, 22 August 2025.
The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, displaying a balance of skill, strategy, and composure under pressure. After strong performances in the group stages, they advanced to the semi-finals, where they faced Rhinoveld. The match ended in a goalless draw, forcing penalties, where Grantleigh triumphed 2–1.
In the final, the team went head-to-head against Richards Bay Primary A. After another tense 0–0 result, the championship was decided through penalties, with Grantleigh securing a 4–3 victory.

The team’s resilience and teamwork were on full display, particularly in the high-pressure penalty shootouts. Their sportsmanship and commitment to excellence made the school and community proud.
