One of the highlights of the Grade 2 year at St Benedict Sschool is when the pupils get to build their very own “forever friends” at the end of the year. This year the boys all got to build a dog – “man’s best friend”, while the girls got to make cuddly Persian cats. The children got to give their animal a heart, stuff it, weigh and measure it and had a Birth Certificate issued. They also got to groom their new pets and were given special denim carry bags so that they can keep them safe. There was huge excitement amongst the pupils and lots of special memories were made. On Thanksgiving Day the children all got to bring their new babies back to school for the day for a picnic and as a reminder to count their many blessings!
