Tuesday, 28 October, saw the start of the Girls Soccer Season, with our U11 and U13 teams hosting Applewood Preparatory School for their first round of matches.

The U11 game was an exciting and evenly matched contest from start to finish. Both teams created opportunities and displayed impressive teamwork and determination. Despite the girls giving their all, they were narrowly defeated 2–1 after a hard-fought battle.

The Generation Schools Somerset West U13 team faced a very skilled Applewood side that made the most of their chances early on. Although our girls fought back and found the net once, Applewood’s pace and accuracy in attack proved too strong on the day, with the match ending 3–1.

Both our teams showed excellent sportsmanship, spirit, and resilience. They’ll be heading to Applewood for the return fixtures this coming Tuesday, where they’ll be eager to bounce back and showcase what they’ve learned from their opening matches. Go girls!
