What a year of Rocket League at Curro Durbanville High School! Our ESport Teams did extremely well during the 2025 Esport Season. In June 2025 JP Neethling, Kiran Yaynarayan & Ethan Procter competed in the Curro Clash Lan and walked away as overall Winners.

In Aug 2025 JP Neethling, Kiran Yaynarayan & Ethan Procter competed at Interschools and walked away as overall Winners. In Aug 2025 JP Neethling, Kiran Yaynarayan & Seth Solomans (Ethan Procter as reserve) competed at Comic Con Africa in JHB and walked away as the HSEL Champions.

In Sept 2025 JP Neethling, Kiran Yaynarayan & Seth Solomans were invited to compete at The MTN Shift Tournament held at Canal Walk and again the team took the win!In Oct 2025 Curro Durbanville had the opportunity to experience both our Rocket League Teams reaching Top 3 out of 19 teams at The Curro National LAN in JHB

Curro Wolves 1 (JP, Kiran & Ethan) – Walked away as the Overall Curro National LAN Winners. Curro Wolves 2 (Adam,Tyler, Luke & Seth) – Finished in 3rd place. What a great finish for both our teams, Curro Durbanville High School cannot be more proud of these two teams.Also in October 2025 JP Neethling, Kiran Yaynarayan, Ethan Procter and Seth Solomans took the winning title of the Curro Internal League JP and Kiran also participated in the StelLANbosch LAN in Oct held at PRG.  This was a tough competition as they were drafted into teams who never played together before as well as playing against Pro Players.  Both did extremely well and progressed to the Semi-Finals. To witness our Esport teams in action at every event fills our heart with warmth, pride and joy.

As with every other sport, to grow and be better, you need to practise.For some, gaming is just a fun hobby, for others it is way more than that. It takes endless amounts of hours to practise, the drive behind it, the commitment, the team chemistry, the dedication,but most of all, passion for the game. Esports is more than just gaming:
