Crawford International Schools Compete in the Stallions Cup Esports Tournament

Learners from Crawford Fourways, Crawford Ruimsig, and Crawford Bedfordview will be competing in the Stallions Cup this weekend at Beaulieu College. The event, starting at 09h00 on Saturday, includes a Minecraft competition, with Crawford Fourways entering a solo competitor.
This tournament marks another significant step in Crawford International’s esports journey, reinforcing the role of competitive gaming as a tool for critical thinking, digital literacy, and collaboration. With esports gaining momentum in South Africa’s education sector, Crawford remains at the forefront of this evolution, preparing students for the dynamic, technology-driven world.
Esports continues to grow in South African schools, offering students opportunities to develop problem-solving, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills in a competitive setting. The tournament is one of several events in which Crawford students will participate this year, with plans to engage in Comic Con Cape Town from 1-4 May.
