Camps Bay High School learner wins his section at Men’s WP Squash Open in stunning comeback

Camps Bay High School Grade 12 student, Brody Williamson, has made a triumphant return to competitive squash after a 4-month hiatus due to surgery. Competing in the Men’s WP Squash Open, Brody faced an intense schedule, playing 4 matches in 5 days. Despite being seeded 11th out of 16 in his section, Brody defied expectations and caused significant upsets to reach the Final.
In an electrifying final match, Brody faced the top seed and displayed remarkable determination and resilience. Coming from behind, he secured a thrilling victory with a score of 3-2, clinching the deciding game 15-13. His outstanding performance earned him the championship title and a prize of R1,200. Busi Ngcwama, Camps Bay High School’s Head of Sport, expressed the school’s pride in Brody’s achievement: “We are incredibly proud of Brody for his outstanding performance and resilience. Despite the challenges posed by his injury and recovery, he demonstrated remarkable determination and skill. His success serves as an inspiration to all our students.”
