St Andrew’s School for Girls was privileged to have had Astronaut, Nicole Stott, talk at our school. Fun was had by all with kids dressing up and prizes handed out; and she left the audience in awe with stories of her journeys into space. Nicole Stott’s path to becoming an astronaut was not without its challenges. Like many aspiring space explorers, she faced rigorous training, demanding physical tests, and a constant need to prove herself in a field dominated by men. However, her unwavering determination and passion for exploration propelled her forward.
Today, Nicole continues to inspire others with her remarkable journey. Whether speaking at schools, engaging in community outreach, or participating in initiatives that promote STEM education, she encourages young minds to dream big and pursue their passions, regardless of the obstacles they may face. Thank you, Astronaut Stott, for coming to St Andrew’s School for Girls; and thank you, Steve Sherman from Living Maths, for bringing her out from the United States.
