An Amazing Race Open Day

All roads led to Curro Salt Rock this past weekend, as the school hosted an epic Amazing Race event for their Pre-Grade R and Grade R learners. Decked out in their team colours and imaginative outfits, learners, parents, friends and family gathered for an afternoon of expedition of exploration and education. The action kicked off at the preschool, with teams setting off on a thrilling journey of adventure and discovery. Armed with maps, they were tasked with navigating 16 important stations where an interactive activity connected to the Grade R curriculum awaited. Think fun egg races, sensory stations to ignite curiosity, and even tennis for beginners.
This wasn’t just any old race though but rather a revolutionary open day to redefine the campus experience. While learners had fun in the sun, parents traversed the terrain of the school’s campus, unravelling aspects of the school offering like modern-day explorers. As the finish line drew near, the true victory wasn’t just in the trophies or prizes but in the connections formed, the knowledge gained, and the bonds strengthened over snacks. Proving to be an unforgettable morning of triumph and togetherness, the Amazing Race event is set to become an annual tradition at Curro Salt Rock. Watch this space!
