Aliwal North Primary School’s athletes shown that hard work and dedication always pays off

The Eastern Cape Athletics Championships for Primary Schools took place in Queenstown from 5 – 7 March 2026. Tien van Laerskool Aliwal-Noord se atlete was deel van die Joe Gqabi span wat daar gaan deelneem het.
The competition was fierce and our athletes have shown that hard work and dedication always pays off. Alie-land spog met ses medaljes wat by die Oos-Kaap byeenkoms verower is.
Die volgende atlete het medaljes verwerf:
- Bakoena Phailane (Gold medal) for Long Jump Boys under 10.
- Indivile Keyi (Silver medal) for 70m Hurdles Girls under 11. She also received a Bronze medal for participating in the relays.
- Adanje Kotze (Bronze medal) for 150m Hurdles Girls under 12.
- Amienke Botha-Arends (Bronze medal) for High Jump Girls under 11. The first, second and third place also broke the record.
- Ivor Ludick (Bronze medal) for 80m Boys under 10.
ANPS athletes obtained one first place, one second place, three third places and three fourth places. We are very proud of Ivor Ludick and Bokoena Phailane who were selected to be part of the Eastern Cape team to participate at the South African Athletics Championships. This event will take place in Stellenbosch from 19 to 21 March 2026.
