In a display of linguistic prowess, Hamza Dada, a talented Grade 10 learner at Al Falaah College, has garnered acclaim for his exceptional performance in the DANKie² Senior Afrikaans Olympus, held in May 2023. Hamza’s extraordinary results secured him the coveted First Place in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), elevating both his school and himself to new heights of achievement.
The DANKie² Senior Afrikaans Olympus is a competition that draws participants from across South Africa. This year, an impressive total of 522 learners from 31 schools participated in the competition. Among them, it was Hamza Dada who stood out, leaving an indelible mark on the competition with his linguistic acumen and mastery of the Afrikaans language. However, Hamza was not the sole source of pride for Al Falaah College. In a testament to the school’s commitment to academic excellence and nurturing young linguistic talents, several other learners from Al Falaah College also achieved outstanding results in the same Olympiad, contributing significantly to the school’s remarkable success.
