Acts House learners master the art of dance. Five talented dancers from Acts House of Education have qualified to represent Gauteng at the upcoming National Dance tournament, which will be held during the June school holidays. The school has a well-deserved reputation for excelling in dance, having achieved outstanding results in the Dance School Sports League (DSSL) for the past five years. This year, the primary school placed third in the competition, and five students from the school have been selected to join the Gauteng team.

Mrs. Daniele Jordaan, the primary school coach, expressed her delight at the news and was quick to commend the learners for their hard work and dedication. “We are the smallest participating school in the DSSL, and we are proud of this amazing achievement,” she said. The students themselves were equally thrilled with the news. Onnalena Mathiba, who is participating in the under 13 category, said she couldn’t believe she was chosen to represent Gauteng, while Camden Raidoo, who is in the under 16 category, admitted to initially doubting his chances of making the team. However, when he saw his name on the list, he knew he had to make the most of the opportunity. Dance is Camden’s passion in life, and his goal is to represent his school and province at the national level. He expressed his gratitude to Acts House of Education for giving him the chance to showcase his talents and glorify God through his passion for dance. With the tournament fast approaching, the dancers are eagerly looking forward to representing their province and making their school proud.
