Creston College  Classroom news.

Group 4

The Group 4’s learned about health this week and thoroughly enjoyed the fantasy play part of learning.  They had a great time being doctors, nurses, surgeons, doctor’s office secretaries and pharmacists.

Gr 3

The Grade 3 learners learnt about Pompeii and the famous Mt Vesuvius this week. They made their own volcanoes using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. There was great excitement when their volcanoes exploded.

The Grade 3 learners enjoyed using the Number Sense Geo Genius construction kits to build 3D shapes.

Gr 2

The Grade 2’s enjoyed making messy pigs during their art period.

Our Grade 2 learners enjoyed their Robotics lesson. They worked in groups and had to create robots made from recycled materials. They learnt about the axel and wheel, while trying to make moving parts.

Learning phonics is not just restricted to the classroom when you are in Grade 1!

Gr 1

The Grade 1 learners are learning about Plants and Seeds. They did very well by incorporating it into their show and tell.

The Grade 1 learners enjoyed buying their very own books at the book fair.
