Term 3 saw the revival of Cross Country at Hoërskool Staatspresident CR Swart. There was an immediate interest from learners to participate. Runners started training during term 2 and participated in the “pre-schools league”. This prepared the runners for the mountain of obstacles they were faced with, both on and off the course, and their efforts were evident in their weekly improvement.

With the assistance of the dedicated teachers/couches we are confident that the sport will only grow from strength to strength. A special thanks to the management of the school, who were always prepared to support our runners where it was needed and also to all the host schools who made every week memorable. We look forward to taking this sport to newer heights come the 2024 season.
