Volksrust High School Umpires Selected for Prestigious National and Regional Hockey Tournament

Volksrust High School is thrilled to announce that several of our dedicated field hockey umpires have been selected to officiate at various national and regional hockey tournaments. This remarkable achievement highlights the commitment and skill of our umpires, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.
Miss Lorianne Magudulela and Miss Anneli Cockcroft have both been chosen to umpire at the U16 Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) in Bloemfontein. Their selection for this prestigious event reflects their high level of competence and dedication to the sport.
Miss Zandi Ngcobo will be officiating at the U18 IPT, showcasing her expertise and commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game at a higher age level.
Caitlyn Swiegers has been selected to umpire at the U14 IPT in Johannesburg. Her inclusion in this tournament is a testament to her growing reputation as a skilled umpire.
Keegan Jacobs and Nhlakanipho Gwebu will be officiating the U14 boys’ regionals at Kearsney. Their selection underscores their ability to handle competitive matches with professionalism and fairness.
Aphiwe Mkhwanazi has been chosen to umpire the U14 girls’ regionals in Krugersdorp. His role in this tournament highlights his skill and the respect he commands within the field hockey community.
Lastly, Gene Meyer will be representing Volksrust High School as an umpire at the U12 Regionals in Ermelo. Her appointment to this tournament demonstrates her capability and the trust placed in her by the hockey community.
