Successful Interschools week for Worcester Gymnasium’s cricket teams

It was a successful Interschools week for Worcester Gymnasium’s cricket teams against Hermanus.
The WG Girls delivered a dominant performance, restricting Hermanus to 54/7 in 20 overs thanks to excellent bowling from Taymin Muggels (2/5), Camey Joseph (2/6) and Haylee Armstrong (2/8). WG chased the target in just 7.3 overs, led by an outstanding 31 off 20 balls from Taymin Muggels, with support from captain Famke Randall, securing a 7-wicket victory.
The 1st XI Boys also impressed away from home. After Hermanus chose to field first in challenging conditions, captain Chad Potgieter led the innings with 54 (80), supported by Tayne Smith (37) as WG posted 170. The bowlers then sealed an 84-run win, with Caden Jonkers and Ronaldo Koopman leading the attack.
