St Teresa’s Junior Primary School in Craighall Park is so proud of the remarkable gymnastic achievements of Frances Gillibrand (Grade 3). Competing in five gymnastics competitions over the past two months, Frances has showcased exceptional talent and determination, earning her silver medals in each event.Her journey began at the Northstars Novice Invitational at the Northstars Gymnastics Club on 27 April, followed by the Johannesburg Novice Festival on 4 May at the Matsport Centre. She continued to impress at the Ekhuruleni Novice Invitational on 11 May at the Gymagic Gymnastics Club and at the Gauteng Festival on 25 May, also at the Matsport Centre.

Frances’s dedication and hard work culminated in her representing Central Gauteng at the prestigious CGA Zone Competition on 15 June at the Matsport Centre. In this final competition of the season, she delivered outstanding performances, earning a fifth silver medal with scores of 8.95 on the Bar, 8.3 on the Beam, 8.65 on the Floor, and 8.45 on the Vault. Frances trains at the Wanderers Gymnastics Club for four hours weekly, demonstrating her commitment to the sport. Her achievements are a testament to her perseverance and the support of her coaches and family.
