St Teresa’s School Big Walk

On Friday, 28 June, our St Teresa’s Junior Primary School in Craighall Park held their annual PTA Big Walk. The morning started with a talk by Micaela Bouter, a 2020 Olympian, who shared her inspiring journey from her first diving lesson in Grade 4 to competing on the world stage. Micaela encouraged our Rosies to dream big, work hard, embrace failure as a learning opportunity, and seek strength through faith when facing challenges.
Following Micaela’s motivating talk, our annual PTA Walk took place. This year’s theme, “Olympics,” encouraged the girls to incorporate Olympic elements into their outfits, resulting in an impressive display of Olympic-themed hats showcasing our girls’ effort and imagination.
The walk was filled with energy, with many girls exceeding the required 10 laps for sheer enjoyment, loving the physical exercise and opportunity to bond with their peers. As always, the walk concluded with dancing and treats. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and a true sense of community. Well done, Rosies, for your outstanding participation and creativity! Your enthusiasm and school spirit made this year’s PTA Big Walk an unforgettable event.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their generous sponsorships and donations. The funds raised from our PTA Big Walk will support the new covered walkway from the Rosebuds Pre-Primary School classrooms to the new Atelier.
