On Monday, 22 January 2024, St. Benedict’s School celebrated a significant day as we welcomed the Grade 8 learners and other new pupils and staff members to the SBS family. This tradition, marked by the ringing of the bell, symbolizes the acceptance of learners into our close-knit community. Each learner also had their name recorded in the school’s register, marking the beginning of their educational journey at St. Benedict.
The bell-ringing ceremony is deeply rooted in the ethos of St. Benedict’s School, emphasizing the sense of belonging and unity within our community. It not only represents the acceptance of new learners but also serves as a commitment from the school to support and nurture them throughout their academic endeavours. As they progress through their academic career, the ringing of the bell will again mark the end of their journey at SBS when they complete Grade 12.
