The St. Andrew’s College Shield, held from January 25 to 28, 2024, drew top teams from across the country to Makhanda. The 13 participating schools represented various regions: Gauteng (St Johns and St Stithians), KZN (Hilton, Westville, Michaelhouse, and Clifton), Eastern Cape (St Andrew’s College, Grey High, Selborne), and Western Cape (SACS, Bishops, Paul Roos, and Rondebosch). St Johns maintained their dominance on day 2, securing the top spot in Pool B alongside Rondebosch, Paul Roos, and Westville filling the other quarter-final spots. On the final day, the excitement heightened in Pool A, awaiting the conclusion of the St Stithians vs. Selborne game to determine the final pool standings.
