Open Day is a special day in Bredasdorp High School’s (BHS) calendar. Why? It’s special because we get to
welcome the next generation of BD’s. We get to see the grade 7s’ excitement at the seeing what BHS has to
offer.

Our goal each Open Day is to showcase a small part of what BHS has to offer. This year, we had the following
stations throughout the school: IT and Robotics; EGD (Engineering Graphics and Design); an online sports quiz
at CAT (Computer Applications Technology); experiments at Physical Sciences; anatomy and organs at Life
Sciences and cupcake decorating at Consumer Studies. The Grade 7s also had the opportunity to see some of
the sports BHS offers and to show off their sporting talent. All grade 7s that attended the Open Day got their
very own BHS bag filled with all sorts of goodies.

To show just a little bit of BHS’s spirit or “gees”, the grade 7s all played a round of musical chairs on the rugby
field, which boasts a beautiful view of Bredasdorp and surrounds.
