New Horizon College Bethlehem has been hosting an annual Harvest Festival since the school opened in 2014.  The idea is to show gratitude for what we have. It also provides us with the opportunity to teach our children the importance of giving and helping those who are not as privileged as they are. Many households are currently experiencing financial struggles due to the economic situation and more so our poorer communities.

NHC learners were able to donate essential non-perishable food items and toiletries and hand it over to staff members of Bethlehem Child and Family Welfare. Mme Khumbudzo Simethi, Mr Samuel Mofokeng and Mme Annah Radebe accepted the donated goods and their team will distribute the goods to needy households in town and surrounding farms.

We are proud as a school to be involved in changing the lives of the less-privileged in our community. Without these donations our Harvest Festival would not have been so successful. We are very thankful to our learners and their families who supported this worthy cause.
