From the Year 1 Classroom
Our Year 1 students have settled well into their class and have been busy this week recognising the differences and similarities between themselves and others. They had lots of fun drawing outlines of their bodies as well as labelling the main body parts.

Growing Together!
Our Year 6s are settling back into school nicely. They will be ‘Growing Together’ this year by each tending to a little plant. They will be responsible for giving it a name, making sure it has all the right conditions to grow and taking it home in the holidays.

Our Youngest students spent time this week working on their fine motor skills. Tearing paper is a simple fine motor activity that requires only scrap paper and your hands. Tearing paper helps children develop so many essential skills: hand strength, hand-eye coordination, precision, refined movements, bilateral coordination. Look at the wonderful pictures they created.

High School Artists
Ineke in Year 11 is working on an oil painting for her Coursework topic ‘Identity’ and Arella in Year 9 is exploring the shell using gouache paint. This is a water-medium paint consisting of natural pigment, water plus a binding agent and is used by commercial artists for posters, illustrations, comics, and other design work.
