Holy Family College Grade 10 learners visited Mariannhill Monastery on Thursday, 25 August 2022, accompanied by Religious Education teacher, Mrs Stephenson. They spent time in St Joseph Cathedral and St Anne’s church praying and learning about our rich Catholic heritage. Father Francis was an amazing guide and mentor for our learners around the Monastery. They also had a chance to visit the printing press and tailor, and saw a community in action: sewing, designing graphics, growing vegetables, making furniture and even saw a blacksmith and candle maker.

Learners visited St Francis College and interacted with Grade 10 learners who took them on a tour of the school. Fun, work and prayer complemented the motto “Ora et Labora”. The day ended with tasty treats from the Mariannhill tea garden.
