Rustenburg  the young netballers of Grenville High School are making waves in the Bojanala District, with both their u.14 and u.16 teams securing podium finishes and advancing to the Provincial Championships.

The u.14 team battled their way to third place in the Bojanala District Championships, showcasing talent, teamwork, and tireless energy on the court. Their performance has earned them a coveted spot in the provincial showdown, proving that hard work pays off.

Meanwhile, the u.16 team had an equally thrilling journey at the District Best of Schools Championships, held at Bergsig Academy on Saturday, 24 May 2025.

Front from left: Lesego Maotwe, Resego Medupe, Resego Matlhola, Warona Dire, and Reaolebogo Lebepe. (absent: Omphile Molao and Bonolo Morake).

They opened strong, defeating Mamodibo 10–5, and edged out Brits in a nail-biting 8–7 win. With focused determination, they went on to conquer both Thuto Pele and Iketleetso, securing a place in the playoffs for top honours.

In the final, Grenville High School met the formidable Hoërskool Rustenburg team and despite a spirited effort, finished second overall with a 4–19 scoreline — an outstanding achievement that now propels them to the Provincial Championships, set for 14 June at Hoërskool Rustenburg.

Grenville High School is bursting with pride at the accomplishments of their netball teams. Best of luck to these rising stars as they take the next step toward provincial glory!
