Grantleigh Schools learners shine at National Mathematics Olympiad

Six learners from Grantleigh Schools were among the top 100 in KwaZulu-Natal chosen to represent the province at the South African Mathematics Olympiad Team Competition Finals held on Saturday, 13 September 2025. The competition began with individual rounds, where Le Kai Chen achieved a record-breaking 100% in the Senior Individual Category – securing 1st place and a position in the KZN A Team for Seniors. Other notable placements included:

  • Hanyi Fang – KZN B Team (Juniors)
  • Yeshav Singh – KZN B Team (Seniors)
  • Mirav Singh and Nthutuko Mchunu – KZN C Team
  • Siphokuhle Makhanya – KZN D Team (Seniors)

The KZN A Team went on to achieve an impressive 3rd place nationally. Grantleigh Schools celebrates these outstanding results and congratulates all six learners on their dedication, perseverance and excellence.
