Chess: Congratulations Boithabiso Maphoso played at the South African Junior Closed Championships during the school holiday. She came 3rd in the Rapid and Blitz. She came 4th in the Classics. She also received her Protea Colours and will represent South Africa at the World Cadet Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships in Batumi, Georgia, as well as representing the Country at the African Youth Championships in Egypt. She will also represent the Country at World Commonwealth Classic Chess Championships in Birchwood, Johannesburg.  All these tournaments will take place between June and July 2023.
