During the term, our Felixton College Chess team proudly participated in the King Cetshwayo Chess Championships, showing great focus, resilience and strategic thinking throughout the day. It was a demanding competition, but our pupils rose to the challenge, demonstrating composure and determination at every board. We are especially proud of the following results:

Junior School:
Kuhle Ndlovu – 2/5
Cameron Love – 3/5
Christopher Stewart – 4/5
High School:
• Iphile Ngcobo – 1/5
• Trevlin Vandyar – 2/5
• Sbonga Miya – 2/5
• Kairav Sewdayal – 3/5
• Isabelle Wilson – 3/5 (3rd place U16 Girls)
• Sibusile Cele – 3.5/5
• Ivan Scholtz – 5/5 (1st place U16 Boys)

We are incredibly proud of how our pupils represented Felixton College with confidence and sportsmanship. Chess continues to grow as a space where critical thinking, patience and perseverance are developed, skills that extend far beyond the board. We look forward to seeing our pupils continue to grow and excel in the Chess competitions that lie ahead.
