Dundee High School learner Kwanele Mtshali, a Gr 9 learner from DHS, has made it through to the final round of the Eskom Expo for his efforts in a renewable energy project. It is a huge accomplishment for this young scientist. He feels very strongly about making energy accessible to people from all socio-economic backgrounds. He started by researching the possibility of generating energy from bacteria. After research was conducted, material ordered from overseas, and many late nights of putting it all together, Kwanele finally managed to go through to the final round! We wish him all of the best in the final round of this prestigious competition.
