Netball and Rugby First Teams triumph in key fixtures. De La Salle Holy Cross College is celebrating an exceptional week in sport, with both the First Netball and First Rugby Teams securing major victories in their respective competitions.

On Monday, 2 June, the First Netball Team travelled to HS Randburg for the Inter-District Play-Offs, where they delivered strong, determined performances against Trinity Glenvista and The King’s School Linbro Park. The team won both matches, showcasing excellent teamwork, skill and composure under pressure. They now progress to the prestigious JOMO Championships, set to take place this Friday and Saturday, where they will represent the College with pride.

Just one day later, on Tuesday, 3 June, the First Rugby Team took to the field in the highly anticipated Pirates Final at the Pirates Rugby Club. Facing off against a formidable opponent in Bryanston High School, the match was a thrilling contest from start to finish. In a game marked by fierce determination and strategic play, the DLSHCC boys emerged victorious with a narrow but well-deserved 27–24 win.

These back-to-back victories highlight the strength, discipline and school spirit that defines DLSHCC sport. The College extends its deepest thanks to the dedicated coaches who invest countless hours into developing our players both on and off the field.
