Ewan Kruger, a Grade 9 learner, achieved the following results in fencing at the 2022 Eastern Cape Open in Port Elizabeth that took place from 5 – 6 February:

• Epee Men’s U17 Individual – 2nd Place (Silver)
• Epee Men’s U20 Individual – 3rd Place (Bronze)

Fencing at the 2022 Junior African Championship in Lagos Nigeria (22 – 27 February 2022):

• Epee Men’s U15 Individual: 1st Place (Gold)
• Epee Men’s U17 Individual: 5th Place
