Crawford International La Lucia Preparatory learner Shreya Naidoo recently took part in two significant golf events in the final days of school and leading into the holidays. Firstly, she participated in the U11 Interprovincial Tournament at Schoeman Golf Park in Bloemfontein where, at just 8 years old, she stood out as one of the youngest players, representing the sole female member of the KZN Team. Despite being the youngest team amongst all provinces, KZN performed admirably. The second tournament was the esteemed Big 5 SA Open, an international event that attracted numerous talented junior golfers from across the globe. Shreya showcased remarkable skills on a challenging course, securing an impressive 2nd position overall. Following this success, Shreya earned a spot in the Geerts Cup, where the top South Africans faced off against their international counterparts, ultimately leading to Team SA emerging victorious. On Sunday, 14 April, Shreya once again excelled, clinching 1st place in the KZN local tour at Selbourne Estate. We are immensely proud of her accomplishments and the calibre of golf she displayed.
