BSI Premier Division Cycle 1 72-hole Championship
Huge Congratulations to Gilbert Chalwe, for his win in the BSI Premier Division end of Cycle 72-hole Championship which took place last week at Royal Johannesburg on both West and East Courses.
Gilbert went under par in all four rounds, shooting 6-under despite the miserable weather conditions for the week and carrying an injury from the 3rd round onwards. Thanks to the care and experience of our Sports Scientist, Renée Gomes da Silva after round 3, she had Gilbert back on course to complete the event. Great going Gilbert, it was awesome to see how you pulled yourself through your injury and competed to take home the win!

Round 1 – Martin Papworth 68, Etienne Bedeker 70 & Berman Richter 74
Round 2 – Keegan du Plessis 69 & Tristan Botha 77

BSI Junior Academy Cycle 1 36-hole Championship
Well done to Connor Olfsen, on his win in the BSI Junior Academy Cycle 1 36-Hole medal, with fantastic golf for a 7-under par total over 2 rounds.
Played at Royal Johannesburg, Connor shot his all-time Personal Best score of 6-under par 66 in round 1 on Royal’s West Course and followed that up the next day with a 1-under 71 on Royal East. These two rounds were played in extremely difficult conditions with so much rain falling. Well done again and continue to believe in yourself and the team around you.

Football Academy
The Centre Circle Magazine
We are into the 2nd quarter of the year and things are definitely getting busy with the start of the amateur football season. BSI Football Academy are competing in three leagues with 6 teams this season; HollywoodBets Men’s Regional League, ELFA Super League (2 teams) and SAFA Gold One Development League (3 teams). In addition we compete with 2 teams in the schools league. This creates more opportunities for our players to develop and gain experience.
Our staff are constantly trying to improve our players and also upskill themselves. We welcome Alex Future Stars into our fold as a development partner as we look to enhance our relationships on and off the field, with our local football communities.
