Arboretum Primary School learners excel at the International FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Competition

Arboretum Primary School are bursting with pride as we celebrate the incredible achievement of our 4 learners who recently represented South Africa at the International FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Competition in Florida, USA! Not only did they showcase their innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills on the world stage, but they also brought home the prestigious Motivate Award! This award recognises teams that inspire others through exceptional spirit, enthusiasm, and collaboration. A highlight of the event was forming an alliance round with the local team “Shooting Stars” from Florida – an exciting experience that fostered global friendship and teamwork.
Beyond the competition, the team enjoyed some unforgettable adventures – from exploring the wonders of SeaWorld, making a splash at Aquatica Theme Park, exciting baseball game and a mind-blowing visit to the NASA Kennedy Space Center, where they were inspired by real-world science, innovation, and space exploration! We are incredibly proud of our learners for being such outstanding ambassadors – both for our school and our country.
