MATRIC VALEDICTION – RAND PARK HIGH SCHOOL
From the first school day of 2023, the Class of 2023 has displayed a respectful, enthusiastic and supportive attitude towards the school, as well as all the people with whom they have interacted.
The Matric Valediction was held on Wednesday, 25 October and the Class of 2023 did not disappoint. The ceremony celebrated the culmination of 12 years of schooling and recognised the contribution and achievements of the 2023 Matrics, who remained consistent and responded with great enthusiasm and appreciation for their fellow learners.
The main awards presented to the class of 2023 were:
Amiee Coertzen – Maximo Cum Honore Award for Honours in Academics and Emergency Care
The Nicaylan Naidoo Trophy for 12 years of full school attendance was awarded to Carrie Ansell.
The Rand Park High School Trophy for Development in Qualities of Leadership: Kagiso Mokgwatlheng & Daphne Alona
The Eric Crawford Trophy for Good Citizenship: Joy Chiemeka & Kagiso Mokgwatlheng
The Frewin Trophy for Achievement Through Endeavour: Kallan Brown
The Sharon Hale Trophy for Cultural Excellence: Rachel Bibb
Sports Person of the Year: Steven Robinson
Dux Scholar and the Mayor’s Trophy: Thomas Anderssen
The MacKenzie Trophy for Esprit de Corps: Michaela Adolphe & Thomas Anderssen
