The Westville Senior Primary School 1st team Rugby team went to the annual Trinity House National rugby festival held in Johannesburg. Throughout an extremely tough festival our young men showed leadership, determination and impeccable manners! This festival is an extremely tough festival with some of the best rugby playing schools in the country participating. Our team stood up to the task and played against three strong schools – Trinity House Centurion, KEPS and the hosts, Trinity House Randpark Ridge. The team came home with 1 win out of the 3 games played which is something to be proud of! We are super proud of all of you. A special mention goes to Anotha Ngema for being selected as the best forward player of the festival. This is incredible! Thank you to Mr Bezuidenhout and Mr Adamson who went on tour with the boys. We would also like to thank Mrs Maple for all the pictures and for sharing them with us!
Our U12 and U13 Tour girls embarked on their Trinityhouse tour. Mrs Marshall has said “Witnessing their infectious fun and unwavering determination on the field was truly inspiring. The level of competitiveness was fantastic, and we’re absolutely thrilled to see the vast improvement in their results compared to previous years!” These young athletes showed incredible spirit, teamwork, and growth throughout the tour. They not only played their hearts out but also created lasting memories and friendships. We are so proud of each and every one of them! Congratulations to Ayanda Ziqubu who won best attacker and Landi Masinga who won best defender for the tournament. Well done girls, this is amazing! Thank you to Mrs Marshall and Miss Oosthuizen for going on tour with the girls.
