Wembley College rider excels

Daniella Schröder and her horse ‘Kondos Come on Eileen’ participated in the DSA Challenge Competition held at Shongweni Equestrian Club on 24 & 25 May, where they were crowned as winners of the KZN Leg of DSA Challenge for the Junior Preliminary Division. This is a National Event which is run throughout all nine provinces. The same two judges travel around the country, exclusively judging the same prescribed Challenge Tests for each level respectively in the Dressage Discipline. At the conclusion of the Challenge, it enables riders to then be placed / ranked in their current grade and age group against their counterparts throughout SA.
On Saturday, 24 May, Daniella and Ellie won their preparation DSA Warm-up Class judged by the local judges, with Sunday bringing the DSA Challenge Classes, judged by the appointed judges for the DSA Challenge 2025. For this class, riders are not permitted a caller, and they have to ride their test from memory. Daniella and Ellie were crowned as winners of the KZN Leg of DSA Challenge for the Junior Preliminary Division. The Wembley Equestrian coach said, “We are really proud of Daniella and Ellie for participating in this big show. This was their first experience in such circumstances. This is a huge congratulations and celebration for us at the Wembley College Equestrian Academy (WEA) at Wembley College.
