“Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy,” Ludwig van Beethoven. The Wembley College Festival of Music took place on Friday, 21 April in the glowing, candle lit Aloe Hall. It was an unforgettable event for all music lovers. The festival showcased some incredible performances from various school bands and musicians. David Fick set the tone for the festival with his traditional performance on his bagpipes. The festival proceeded with a captivating performance by the Wembley Choir and Marimba band. The McLean brothers charmed the crowd with their guitar duet.

The audience was treated to captivating performances by the St Annes and Girls High Orchestras, and the Michaelhouse Jazz band and Orchestra, which further heightened the musical experience. Our first Wembley Festivsl of Music featured many unique, musical performances, including a breathtaking solo piano performance by Samir Dookie. However, the Michaelhouse Competition Marimba band stood out with their exceptionally vibrant, passionate performance, leaving the audience enchanted and enraptured by their musical vibrance, physicality and energy. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the Wembley staff for putting together an unforgettable evening of music.
