Over the weekend of 15–17 August, a group of intrepid Grade 6 girls from The Wykeham Collegiate, set off on a memorable beach hike along the stunning South Coast, trekking from Port Edward to Margate.

It was an adventurous beach hike filled with laughter, teamwork, and discovery. With sandy toes and salty air, they explored rocky outcrops, navigated marshes, swam in the ocean, spotted shells and sea creatures, and enjoyed the beauty that is the South Coast. The girls participated in many activities and challenges, that tested their resilience and strength, while discovering new aspects of themselves. The hike wasn’t only about exercise, it was about building friendships, embracing nature, and creating memories.
