The anticipation is palpable as Wembley College gears up to host its much-awaited annual Festival of Music on Friday, April 19. Following the resounding success of last year’s event, organizers are poised to once again captivate audiences with an array of musical talent and performances. This year’s festival promises to be nothing short of extraordinary, boasting a lineup that is both diverse and exceptional. Music ensembles and choirs from esteemed institutions such as Wembley College, Laddsworth Primary School, Clifton Nottingham Road, Hermannsburg Deutsche Schule, and St. Anne’s Diocesan College will grace the stage, showcasing their remarkable musical prowess. The pinnacle of the evening will be a highlight performance by the esteemed KZN Midlands Youth Choir, promising to leave attendees spellbound with their harmonious melodies and soul-stirring renditions.

Tickets for the festival went on sale at the end of March, and the response has been overwhelming. Such is the fervour for this event that all tickets were swiftly snapped up, with the venue reaching full capacity by the beginning of April. This overwhelming support underscores the festival’s status as a highlight on the local cultural calendar.

“We are thrilled to welcome these distinguished schools and their talented music departments to Greytown, and particularly to Wembley College,” expressed William Silk, Executive Head of Wembley College. “The Annual Festival of Music is a celebration of musical excellence and community spirit, and we are honored to play host to such a prestigious event.”

As the countdown to April 19 begins, anticipation mounts among music enthusiasts and community members alike. With a lineup of this caliber, the Annual Festival of Music at Wembley College promises to be an unforgettable evening of melody, harmony, and sheer musical magic.
